1thing, learn to play ur class and stop complaining !!! Rogues can beat most of the classes out there.. My opinion: vanish should have the same effect as cloak of shadow,, and yes , rogues and daggers belong together!!! AND rogues just have to get a class mount like palas and warloks !! Skuld be awsome , exaple a black warpstalker !!! . Sub ftw ! Peace!

srsly ppl who say rogues do low dps is just bad playing rogue i did 9k dps on sourfang with a rogue with 3,5 k gs or was it 4k gs dont remember, but 80% of the pug raid told me to bugger off and that i was to low geared and stuff. but the leader was nice and sad if you dont like it leave.

and i ended up at 2nd on dps under a mage with as i mentioned before with around 9kdps, yes it was after the 2nd nerf of icecrown but anyway 3,5 k gs

its just mather of gearing correctly and have the correct talents, and know what buttons to push, and i barely know that since my main class is a healing priest, so ppl whining about rogue have low dps srsly go and play hunter or some othe faceroll class

OK here are my 2 cent$…
The main problem I have with Healing Spec’d Pally’s and Druids is that they can do way too much damage. I don’t have a problem with them being able to heal and heal and heal some more. My problems come from them being able to put out as much damage as they can. I have played on a PVP server since release and am geared in Wrathful gear, it’s just frustrating when I catch one of those classes off guard and they end up killing me because when in the end I am damn near dead and go to vanish and since forever it doesn’t work.

Now, I don’t think we should be able to beat everyone, especially plated opponents, but if that opponent is a DPS class, and not a healer, then I should stand a chance if I am the one that was able to sneak up on them and start the fight. No have it to where they are able to fully heal, or better yet, go completely immune to my attacks, and then heal themselves and still put out enough damage while they are immune. If you think that being immune to any dmg and still put out good dmg to your opponent then you either play said class or are a fan of said class.

Blizzard needs to fix vanish in a major way and look at removing abilities to do ANY damage while that person is immune to any damage themselves, that’s just a crock of crap.

PVE
Rogues are great DPS, all you need to do is spec for either combat or assassination. Sub rogues shouldn’t complain about having low DPS, sub is meant for PVP not PVE, so quit crying and respec. Rogues do more damage than warriors and paladins if played right
PVP
Rogues need more defensive abilities. currently they have stunlocks to “defend” them, blizz better give rogues something to make up for the loss of stunlocks. (I hope blizz doesn’t give rogues another 3 minute cooldown like sprint, evasion, and vanish)An assassination rogue can take out a plate if they are specced right, that means using an assassination/sub hybrid build most of the time. Some people think “more damage” is the answer, truth is, rogues do plenty of pvp damage, they just don’t live long enough to do all that damage, because all they got is leather
Ideas
Mail armor-I see where you’re going with this idea, because you want to give rogues more defense, but mail armor isn’t the answer.
Stealth mount-This is kinda stupid, stealth gives you a 30% movement loss, giving stealth mounts kinda defeats that purpose
My opinion on each spec
Assassination
PVE-single target insanely high dps
PVP-assassination is the best pvp build if you use a hybrid assassination/sub build, you can take out plates with you armor penning poisons easily
Combat
PVE-Best multi target dps, decent for boss fights too
PVP-Sadly combat rogues have poor stealth enhancements, which limits their survivability, hurting their pvp
Subtlety
PVE-Sub doesn’t pvp because all you can do is ambush…after you ambush a mob, you are left nearly powerless, resulting in low DPS
PVP-Sub is great for taking out clothies in pvp, (most cloths rerolling a rogue will choose this tree) but you can never take out a plate very well, and you are left extremely vulnerable if caught out of stealth(because talents like improved ambush or master of deception are rendered useless)
Summary
PVE-quit complaining, any non-sub rogue can easily do higher dps than any warrior/pally
PVP-just go assassination spec, stop crying about how your sub rogue can’t kill a warrior, and learn to use you cooldowns correctly (for example, disarm a warrior who’s bladestorming and he’s a harmless ballerina, ripe for the killing)

personally i don’t care about what changes the rogue’s are getting in cataclysm.
ive loved the class since i started this game 5 years ago and i still love it with a passion.
whatever they are gonna throw at us, a truelly skillfull rogue can vanish and fight his way around the problems.
And this is for all people who are crying about no defenses or more skills, just love your pixels and play for fun, as it was intended. thank you for your time people.

First of all Rogues need a healing ability !! Dont everyone agree ? That you should be able to trade 5 combo points for some healing over time or something.. also i think they should improve Sublety Talents with some Sub Aoe that would be so cool and fun !!

You people just need to learn how to play the class. You have multiple ways to interrupt a caster and can use them back to back (kick, shadowdance-stun, shadowstep-because they cant cast anything at you when your behind them, just gotta be timed right). And for the plate wearers/ healers you have a whole other set of moves at your disposle, and the different types of poisions help a shit ton again any class. Quit bein pussies

Locks have instant fears, and mages have instant freezes, you can only use your cloak once, and once you do your dotted back up again and cant vanish or nothing, locks have it really easy. Subt class for a rogue is good to counter this but then u cant take down plate wearers unless your assass spec, its just kinda annoying when you cant get to your target cause all they keep doing is cc/ranging you whenever u get close. and im talking about full wrathfull toons.maybe i just suck, all other classes are easy to beat as a rogue
