Druid Wow Cataclysm Changes

Druids have been on the receiving end of some very cool spells and abilities in the previous expansions. In WoW Cataclysm, Druid players will see more of the same as their class is a very unique one that allows developers more room for creativity.
The World of Warcraft Cataclysm Druid Changes below have not been 100% approved, so be wary of what might actually make it past beta:
- New Tree and Moonkin forms are planned for Druids
- Currently there is no plan to give Druids a legendary weapon in WoW Cataclysm, casters are next on the list
- Troll and Worgen Druids in WoW Cataclysm will get their own bear, cat, aquatic, and travel form.
- Blizzard has considered and might in the future increase the speed of travel form to be inline with mounts
- Worgen Druids will be able to transform into animals AND humans, definitely something that will wow AND confuse your friends for awhile.
As you can see, so far nothing major has been announced for Druids in WoW Cataclysm, but fear not as in the days ahead and in Beta, Druids will see many new cool skills and abilities in WoW Cataclysm.

Yep, that’s what the Blizzard CEO has promised. The game seemed pretty far along in all the demonstrations, I think it should be in first half of 2010.
im not so sure, Blizz tend to keep games a little while, as BC was almost finished on Vanilla WoW’s release, so yes it may be finished early 2010, but to be honest i wouldnt hope for anything before June / July time. =D
what i dont understand is why give worgens there own form if taurens didnt get a bull or somtin a cool form for worgens would be a wolverine cant wait for cataclysm wanna make a troll druid

I believe that if they are going to make a troll and worgen personal Bear and cat form i think worgens Bear should be a rabid Manbearpig and cat should be a kitten on steroids. and trolls Bear is a Manraptorbear and at should be a Tiger.
Can’t wait! i never had a druid but worgen druid just sounds epic to me.. druids were epic before they could turn human, animal, AND human.

Troll and worge will not be getting their own bear and cat forms or any other form they will be the same as tauren and Nelfs. Worges in cat for will look alot like nelf just with some fur under their chin and troll will just have tuskes and look like tauren cats with out the horn and same with bear form.
is there any word as to whether or not racial changes to worgan will be allowed on release yet?
First of all Begreen you are wrong, bliz has already announced that they are redoing all of the forms, that includes individual forms based on race. Also Raven, Bliz has said that race change to worgen or goblin will be restricted for the first few months after WoW – Cataclysm’s release.
i want it to come out so bad ima make a worgen and troll druid and they do have their own form! But i have a question can the worgens be a female becasue in all of the videos they were male
Again it seems that Bliz is trying to pigeon toe the druid into a caster and keep nerfing the ferals. Bear druids had to fight like mad to find gear and harder a guild that would allow them to tank in vanilla wow. Then finally they where shown some love in BC all to quickly to get nerfed away in Lich King. Most druid tanks had 20k health over other tanks and most with 75% ar mitagation. Druids had this to make up for missing tanking mechanics like parry and shield block. When Bliz decided to try and equalize out tanks the nerfed the druids health and lowered ar mitigation from gear. Bliz never gave anything back in return though, still no parry or shield block no new moves, lowered health and lowered ar. This wasn’t an equalization it was an assassination of the druid tanks. Not to mention the failed threat mechanics for the druid. LOL lacerate doesn’t even show up hardly as threat and its suppose to be a high threat move.

I already imagine a PvP battleground. You see a worgen running towards you at full speed (and taking youre an old fashioned player with no upgraded addons), no time to see its class. First thought will be –> Ohshi, a warrior.. but then IT turns into a bear and literally “glomps” you, or a kitty by the least.
I think it would make more sense for Blood Elves to not have the pally class and have the druid class (since they’re like night elves). Troll druid? that’s dumb and trolls have enough classes as it is

A lot of posts here, but im just mentioning that worgen, troll, tauren and night elf each will have their own bear and cat form. their moonkin is also different, and blizz sed they will make the travel form look a bit more racial and swift. so maybe a troll druid with tusks on the travel form.. they r also changing aquatic form. personally i think blizz is gna make the worgen cat frm a sort of werewolfish type form, and the troll druid a cat form with tusks and ‘voodoo’ marks on its face. i am looking forward to the new race/ classes, but i still think the tauren forms r total badass
i reckon they should replace the druid bird form for a dragon make the sea lion a whale but the dragon form should be able to let ur party members mount up
ehh this is only making everyone wanna be a troll or worgen druid, forgetting about us Taurens , and those lame NElfs, do something cool to us to make us still be seen as cool!!!

In the burning crusade they introduced blood elves and dreinis. pre bc no one on the alliance could be a shaman and nobosy on the horde could be pallys. They made it so the horde and alliance could be all the classes. Maybe goblin pallies?!?!
Druid tank and healer annoyed about looseing tree form and gaining nothing as a healer while giving all other healers somthing tis a big bull if you ask me gonna drop healer in cata and i know a lot of the other trees on my serevr will to

Dont know why everyones QQing so much about the change to the tree form. For once i wont have to rely on the tree form for good healing in pvp. And the new tree form allows offensive abilities so this gonna be some fun pvping inc xD
Hey don’t worry blizzard said they’re figuring out why Druids need tree form and I’m sure they won’t screw us over I’m a tree but I have faith the earth mother will protect us LOL
I wouldnt mind if they made Tree form less Overpowered if they would at least keep Tree form an ability that isnt a cooldown. Maybe instead of making Tree form a cooldown it would be cool to pop a special spell for trees which made them look like different trees (say like an ancient protector style tree or something).
There is just something so fun as walking around in tree form. And besides Ancient Protectors are pretty slow (like in Warcraft 3)…but that’s just my opinion.
new talent tree’s have been announced, they look unfinished… I hope they’ll end up being better than what we see now…
Kill moonkin form! Or use a Gliph for hidden it
i would like a glyph that the epic fly form , instead of a bird becomes a dragon , that if your in a party it is mountable.
or that druid get a mountable fly and ground form, would be cool for normal and for rp.
WHAT THE FUCK. They can’t take tree of life from the transformation thingy, I rolled a druid mainly because I could run around as a damn tree! Flailing my arms around with a spunky green light to heal my party. I don’t want it to be on a cooldown, that would just be retarded! and the skills on the talent tree increase damage? why the hell would a healer need more damage? This is going to make me reject my druid, which I just got levelled to 80, I always love gearing my 80′s but this will change my decision. I think alot of people will stop playing their druids because of this, I hope that somehow this message gets to blizzard. IM REJECTING THIS IDEA FOR COOLDOWNS ON TREE OF LIFE >_>

I know tree of life is getting a cooldown, but are all their other forms getting a cooldown as well?
CD on tree of life form is major bull. Why not put a CD on moonkin and cat while your at it. I just don’t get why they say it’s important to see your character in resto form but not in other forms it sounds like major bullshiz to me. Blizzard was smoking the crack pipe on this one. If they screw this up there are going to lose alot of resto druid players….

But i still the the Night Elf cat looks the best…besides whats better than a black panther and a black lion type worgen thing mauling the face off a troll druid who looks like he jumped in a tin of paint?
I will be quitting WoW when my time runs out in a couple of weeks. I have been here for somewhere near 5 years and am finished. I have watched them go giddy loading up hunters with new patches, and then pallies and always my druid was forgotten or laughed at with skilldowns or useless tweaks. Jack of all trades, master of none. Now they have ruined druid heals and made my bear much less effective. I have never had a problem holding aggro and now cant keep enuf rage to power maul/swipe. Lacerate was made better but doesnt offset.
