Archaeology and Path of the Titans in WoW Cataclysm
Written by WoW Cataclysm.

Archeology and Path of the Titans Info

Archeology and Path of the Titans are two completely new features in WoW Cataclysm, and they play a central role in this latest Cataclysmic expansion. They are also heavily linked to each other, read on to find out about these two new features in World of Warcraft Cataclysm.

As you might have heard, the premise and main theme of WoW Cataclysm is heavy destruction of everything that came before it. In this new and destroyed Azeroth, many areas, places, and zones that you know now may be destroyed and hence end up in ruins. This is the idea behind the new profession in WoW Cataclysm: Archaeology. With this new secondary profession, we will all be eligible to train and level it, and there will not be any restriction on who can pick it up or what your other professions are.

As an Archaeologist, you will be able to explore these ruins and study them. By doing so, you will create Archaeology notes that allows you to research and make new discoveries. These dicoveries can result in picking up valuable artifacts that can result in Ancient Glyphs – a new form of Glyph in WoW Cataclysm. NPCs associated with paths of the titans are members of the “Titan Cults” which have sprung up all over azeroth. When WoW Cataclysm is shipped, there will only be around 4 or 5 ancient glyph slots available, and more will be unlocked in future content patches. If you’re wondering about the power level of these ancient glyphs, then here is an already spoiled example of what it might look like “Stun Duration decreased by 15%”. Oh and if you were wondering you won’t need to have inscription in WoW Cataclysm to make these glyphs.

Alternatively, discoveries can also lead you to discover different precious artifacts and ruins that will be used for a different purpose – helping you progress your character once reaching the max level of 85! This is in essence what Path of the Titans is – a new way to progress your character at max level and fill the void left by having no new max talents in WoW Cataclysm.

There will be multiple paths to choose from. These paths will not be limited by race or class . There will be the option to travel down a different path if you decide to change your mind, and so it will open up even new possibilities for differentiating yourself from the other 124124 clones on your server. By traveling down a Path, you will learn passive bonuses and new abilities, new sockets and glyph possibilities depending on which Path you choose. The different Wow Cataclysm Paths for Path of the Titans are:

Path of Khaz’Goroth: The Shaper

Path of Golganneth: The Thunderer

Path of Eonar: The Lifebinder

Path of Aman’Thul:  The High Father

Path of Aggramar: The Avenger

Path of Norgannon: The Dreamweaver

All of these paths in Cataclysm sound pretty badass to me. The only thing to keep in mind for you hardcore players is that there will be a limit to how much you can progress during a certain week. Hopefully with this addition of Path of the Titans and Archeology in Wow Cataclysm, we will all have a little more fun whenever we are out exploring Azeroth.

What is the benefit besides POT and glyphs beacuse then it seems sorta useless for lower levels. On that subject, will lower levels be able to train in archeology?

Ok the glyphs will be unavliable untill 85 then u will be able to align urself with a cult (there are 6) and begin progressing through the 10 different glyph slots (not all of them will be avalable at Cataclysm release) each tree will have different types of glyphs nothing will be baced on class just generic things that will make u unstoppable (or slightly beefed up) Ex. one tier one glyph is reduce dmg. taken by 4% stuff like that.

Woah, that is like, so cool! I want to know how these 6 different paths benefit you – like, what does each help improve? The Lifebinder, one, does that help you stay alive by improving your stamina, etc. and basically all things that protect you health?

Arent the paths that you choose also dependant on your class, such as a DK may not be able to choose the path that is explicit to a mage/warlock and vice versa.

@Deathnyct no that is in correct the paths you choose with path of titans are for everyone and are smaller “buffs” your mastery is in your talent tree and the bonus you get from wearing your correct gear.

When u say new professions, and such, these professions will be secondary like first aid and cooking? Please clearify this, it would make sence if it was this way, but clearifing this would help.
